Jim
Angott
Born and raised in
Michigan. Jim always had a passion for the outdoors. From as far
back as his parents can remember he promised to one day be a
professional angler or hunter on television. Jim made the dream come
true by being on his first outdoor television show, Adventure Bound
Outdoors with Joel Strickland. Jim guided a large whitetail deer to
a lucky North Carolina hunter at the famous Legends Ranch.
Jim’s work at
Legends Ranch opened many doors to great people and awesome
destinations. Since then he has traveled across the United States
and even into Central America, Canada and Mexico in pursuit of
waterfowl, wild game and trophy fish. After moving from Michigan to
Texas he found himself as Marketing Director of a large commercial
hunting operation in South Texas. This led to its own TV show called
Wildside Outdoors on the Sportsman Channel.
From elk to trophy
black bear, tarpon to redfish. Jim’s passion is with the ducks. He
is the current chapter president for Victoria Texas Ducks Unlimited.
He is an avid waterfowl hunter that hunts with a passionate group of
duck hunters on public land taking 804 ducks in 09-10 Season. Jim
also enjoys waterfowl taxidermy, waterfowl photography and
cinematography. Jim currently resides in what he believes is the
premier waterfowl destination in the Country, the Texas Coast.
Jim is married to
his beautiful wife Diane Angott and has a wonderful daughter
Danielle. Jim owns his own outdoor related marketing company called
GreenWing Marketing. They specialize in web development, print work,
social networking sites such as You Tube video promotions and
Facebook pages for the entire outdoor segment.
