Kevin Wagner
Kevin was born in
northeast Iowa where his Father started taking him hunting and fishing
at an early age. While tagging along with his Dad pheasant hunting he
was hooked at the age of seven. At first carrying a BB gun to learn
the safety of firearms, he then graduated to a single shot breakaway
20ga hunting rabbits and squirrels. The progression to upland birds
was an easy one and Kevin hunted pheasants and quail in the ‘Tall Corn
State’ until the age of 19 when he moved to Georgia.
In Georgia hunting
whitetail deer filled his hunting season until one day he was invited
to a wood duck hunt in the backwaters of central Georgia. It was at
that point his pursuit of waterfowling began and has been his passion
that has grown ever since he shot that first wood duck. Fast forward
17 years and Kevin has trained two Labrador duck dogs both of which
were and are his “best hunting buddy”. He has hunted waterfowl in
Argentina and Nicaragua several times out of the country and from
North Dakota to Texas and everywhere in between back home. Kevin
currently resides outside of Atlanta, GA with his wife Liz of 9 years
and their yellow Labrador Riley. His love for the outdoors, good
friends, working decoying ducks and watching a good dog retrieve is
what fuels his enthusiasm for duck hunting.
